Sorry, we are late! We promise the edition of the Husker Doc Talk Podcast presented by the Rimington Trophy will be with the wait.
The Huskers open the season with a win over South Alabama. However, the game wasn't a blowout, and the offense struggled at times, so many people started freaking out. Dr. Rob Zatechka is here to talk you off the ledge. His medical advice, take a deep breath, it was only the first game of the season.
The offensive line did not resemble the pipeline of the '90s and Center Cam Jergens making his first start at the position. This performance caused alarm with a lot of fans who were critical of the Redshirt Freshman. Dr. Rob knows the frustration, but after taking a second look, he says stop thinking short term and look a the long term payoff and upside that Jergens brings to the position.
Colorado is coming up on Saturday; this is a game Husker fans have had marked on the calendar for a long time. Chad Carr from Ticket Express expects Folsom Field to be a sea of red. There is no love lost between the two programs but is it a rivalry? Saturday's game is the 71st meeting between the old Big 7, Big 8, and Big 12 foes, Colorado has only one 19-times, and there have been two ties in the series. The "rivalry" was at its best from 1988-1995. Sprinkle in the beat down in 2001, and the Buffs don't have that much to brag about do they? Dr. Rob shares his thoughts on the series and what he likes about playing it.
