2019 Episode 13: The Colorado Loss and The Changing Approach To Journalism

The immediate reaction after the Huskers overtime loss to Colorado was all over the board. Some fans were ready to throw in the towel, others claiming it was par for the course, and others understand that the turnaround takes time.
We cover a lot of ground on this edition of the Husker Doc Talk Podcast presented by the Rimington Trophy. So much so that we have added another voice to the conversation.
Dr. Rob and Travis Justice have talked about their love of The Athletic on this podcast many times. They believe the website is changing sports journalism for the better. It's not a knock against newspapers, its that The Athletic is taking a different approach, one that is subscription-based and advertisement free.
For this weeks conversation on losing to Colorado, Mitch Sherman, the Nebraska writer for The Athletic joins us in the studio. Mitch has written for the Daily Nebraskan, Omaha World-Herald, and ESPN.
Mitch shares a beer with Dr. Rob and Travis but doesn't drop any f-bombs! (He hasn't been on the show enough, maybe if he comes back we can get him to swear). There are some in-depth discussions about the Colorado game, also we talk about position groups, and what to expect as the year progresses. Remember, Dr. Rob has been saying all long that nine wins would be huge! Hell, Bill Moos said six wins!
Make sure to support the sponsors of this podcast; without them, our weekly conversations would not be possible.
