
The SEC, Texas, and Oklahoma threw the college football world into a tizzy this past week. First, the Houston Chronicle reported that the Big 12 Conference rivals would leave the Big 12 for the SEC. If this move does take place, it will have a ripple effect throughout college sports and conferences.
If you are worried, you should be! Here's one thing we know, what we know today most likely will be completely different tomorrow, and the day after that, and the day after that, and so on.
Who's controlling all this chaos? It's not a who; it's the almighty dollar.

Well, what I found strange about the 32 member super conference is the idea of retaining the SEC intact. Very few people, I would think, would follow a Mississippi State or a Vanderbilt. If you eliminate or exclude the majority of the country, why would anyone outside of the south watch it? And it would be like the NFL in only a few select states. You have no way of expanding your financial base by adding markets and there would be pressure to eliminate the smaller market teams.
