Are the Huskers any better with Mickey Joesph as the interim Head Coach than when Scott Frost was leading the team earlier in the year?
Travis Justice and Dr. Rob Zatechka discuss this topic on the latest episode of the Doc Talk podcast presented by BetFred Sports. Why are we talking about it? Our friend Scott Spreitzer who joins us every Wednesday for "Behind The Point" spread, says Nebraska is worse in his power rankings now than before Mickey took over. Of course, many factors go into these power rankings, but with a 3-8 record, there's no hiding the fact that Nebraska ain't that good. 
The Huskers have one last game to show things are getting better for the next head coach, whoever that might be. But, the truth is, a win over Iowa would help heal some of the deep wounds that have been cut over this season. 
The showdown with the Hawkeyes is turning into quite a rivalry game. Fans don't care that much for each other. Nebraska hasn't beaten Iowa since Bo Pelini was the Head Coach. The Huskers can keep Iowa out of the Big Ten Championship game this year. This has the potential to be a Black Friday that gives us the drama of college football that we crave.

The Golden Calf is a false idol. But, unfortunately, it's tempting to worship it when there seems to be no hope or, in this case, no answers. 
The Golden Calf I am referring to is every internet rumor that claims to know who the next Nebraska Football Coach will be. Last week it was Deion Sanders. The week before that, Matt Ruhle. The people that are starting these rumors have one motivation, clicks. That's right, clicks. They feed off your emotions of wanting something so badly that you will listen to anything by clicking on their rumors and lining their pockets with money.

The rumors were flying last week leading up to the Minnesota game. Trev Alberts had found his coach, and an announcement was imminent. We now know there was no truth to the rumors. 
Nebraska lost to Minnesota 20-13 and is not one loss away from not being bowl eligible for a sixth consecutive season. Six!

It's official. Nebraska has a backup quarterback problem. It became painfully obvious when Casey Thompson was knocked out of the game against Illinois. Chubba Purdy came in and was 3 of 8 passing for  15-yards and one interception. 
On this edition of the Doc Talk Podcast presented by BetFred Sports, Dr. Rob Zatechka admits the backup quarterback situation is concerning but says don't hit the panic button just yet.  He believes if Purdy had a whole week working with the number one offense and getting the majority of snaps, think might, and we stress might be different.
