This podcast is a replay of the live show Travis Justice and Dr. Rob Zatechka did the night Scott Frost was fired as Nebraska's Head Coach.
Mickey Joseph will serve as Interim Head Coach for the remainder of the 2022 season. Nebraska lost to Georgia Southern last night 45-42 in Frost's last game as Head Coach. The Huskers are 1-2 on the season.
Frost ends his Nebraska coaching career with a 16-31 record, 0-13 against ranked teams, and 5-19 in games decided by 7 points or less. Frost failed to produce a winning season at Nebraska and never qualified for a bowl game. Frost, a National Championship-winning quarterback for the Huskers, came to Nebraska following an undefeated season at Central Florida. He was considered a "Home Run" hire who could unite the fan base. The Wood River native is scheduled to receive a $15-million buyout of his contract.

On paper, 38-17 looks like a pretty good final score as Nebraska beats North Dakota. However, Doctor Rob Zatechka says there is a lot of work to make a believer out of him going forward. The next real measuring stick will be the Oklahoma game in a couple of weeks. First, Nebraska must get through Georgia Southern, coached by former USC Head Coach Clay Helton. Georgia Southern scored 59-points in a win last weekend. 
In this edition of the Doc Talk Podcast presented by Betfred Sportsbook.  Dr. Rob breaks down his report card from the North Dakota game. Yes, his grading scale is a little weird, but things will make a lot more sense after he explains it. 
Dr. Rob and Travis Justice spend a lot of time discussing the offense. Specifically the offensive line and the running game. The runningbacks are in place and impressive. Will the offensive line be able to hold up for the season to support them?
The defense is also discussed, as well as the improvement in the special teams, which we all know can be the difference between winning and losing. 
Despite the win, there was plenty of audible booing at Memorial Stadium. This has some fans upset; you should never boo the players. But is booing a bad thing? Dr. Rob and Travis discuss. 
The College Football Playoff is expanding. This is a good thing, and Dr. Rob goes in deep on how a 12-team playoff adds more value to the regular season than the four-team format we have now.

For that to be true, the Wildcats need to find consistent quarterback play, not turn the ball over and see tremendous improvement on the defensive side of the ball, especially when it comes to giving up points, something Northwestern did a lot of last season.

Almost two weeks into Fall Camp and things are changing daily. Based on comments made this past week by Offensive Coordinator Mark Whipple, it would appear that Casey Thompson is the number one quarterback and takes most of the snaps. Of course, nothing will be official until the depth chart is released, and we know that Scott Frost wants to wait as long as possible for that to happen.

We heard Whipple talk on Wednesday after practice and Bill Busch on Thursday.
