2016 Episode 4: Keith Williams and The Big 10 West Division
Wednesday Aug 17, 2016
Wednesday Aug 17, 2016
Dr. Rob and Travis like to talk about drinking every week; they didn't they would be talking about a coach getting arrested for drinking and driving! In this week's Husker Doc Talk Podcast presented by the Rimington Trophy the first part of the discussion is on receivers coach Keith Williams and how the situation surrounding his employment should be answered. Here's a hint, there is not an easy answer!
Nebraska is coming off its first major scrimmage of fall camp; Dr. Rob discusses what he likes about Quarterback Tommie Armstrong early on. Dr. Rob also provides a quick diagnosis other parts of the scrimmage.
Finally, who will win the West Division? Iowa is the easy pick, do Travis and Rob agree? Well, we know one of them does. Also, who is Doc's surprise pick in the West?
Make sure to leave your comments below and tell Travis and Dr. Rob what you think. Also, follow this podcast on Twitter, @doctalksports.
Big thanks to our presenting sponsor, The Rimington Trophy. The Rimington Trophy Presentation is January 14, 2017, at the Rococo Theater in Lincoln.

2016 Episode 3: Big 10 East Division
Sunday Aug 07, 2016
Sunday Aug 07, 2016
Week three of the 2016 Husker Doc Talk Podcast presented by the Rimington Trophy brings us to the start of fall practice.
Dr. Rob talks about where the Huskers can't afford to have any injuries during fall camp, or the season for that matter.
The majority of this podcast is dedicated to the Big 10 East Division. Ohio State is picked to win the East and the Big 10 Championship game by a majority of media members. Impressive considering the number of players the Buckeyes lost to graduation and the NFL draft. What team will give Ohio State a run for its money? Also, what team in the East is a lot like Rodney Dangerfield, getting no respect?

2016 Episode 2: Dealing With The Death of Sam Foltz
Thursday Jul 28, 2016
Thursday Jul 28, 2016
We've talked about a lot of things on this podcast, death is not one of them, until now. Husker Nation suffered a huge loss last weekend when All-Big 10 punter Sam Foltz was killed in a car accident in Wisconsin.
Many stories have been told about the player, and most importantly the man Foltz was to his team, the University, and the community. This podcast is about dealing with death and how the Huskers move on with fall camp starting shortly.
Dr. Rob lost a teammate 20-years ago in Brook Berringer. This latest tragedy has him thinking about the past and gives some insight on how players are dealing with the loss of friend and teammate.
We also want to welcome Husker Hounds to the Doc Talk podcast. Husker Hounds is on board as a sponsor for the entire season and opening a new store in Omaha at 149th and Maple. Check it out and get your Husker gear at one of Husker Hounds' three stores or online a www.huskerhounds.com.

2015 Episode 19: And That's A Wrap
Sunday Jan 03, 2016
Sunday Jan 03, 2016
Okay, we are sorry! It's been a while since our last podcast; a lot of you have been asking for us to get back in the studio to record, we finally made it happen.First of all, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! After Nebraska beat UCLA in the Foster Farms Bowl, Husker fans are thinking BIG for the 2016 season. Saturday, January 16th, you can get in the football mood at the Rococo Theater in Lincoln. Plan on attending the 16th Annual Rimington Trophy Presentation with guest speaker Lee Corso from ESPN. This year's Rimington Trophy winner is Ryan Kelly from Alabama and former Indianapolis Colts Center Jeff Saturday is the Ford Legends Award winner. Proceeds from the event benefit the Boomer Esiason Foundation and the fight against Cystic Fibrosis. For more information and tickets, visit the Rimington Trophy website. In this edition of the Husker Doc Talk Podcast presented by The Rimington Trophy, Dr. Rob Zatechka, and Travis Justice looks back at the bowl game victory, as well as the fine line between winning and losing in the Big 10. Comparing other teams in the conference and what they did this bowl season, Nebraska is the second tier. That's not a bad place to be since Ohio State is the only team that stands out heads and shoulders above the rest of the field.Dr. Rob, like most Husker fans, likes the way Nebraska ran the ball against UCLA. Does the good Doctor trust Mike Riley enough to stick to the game plan in 2016? It's a topic we spend a lot of time talking about in this podcast. There were a lot of coaching changes after the regular season ended. Former Husker Scott Frost gets his first gig as a head coach at Central Florida. If (and this is a BIG IF) Scott is not successful, does that rule him out as potential Head Coach at Nebraska some day? It's food for thought, also what if Scott has success right away? Will Nebraska lose its opportunity to bring one of its favorite sons home with plenty of big time jobs that could open up?The National Championship Game, #1 Clemson will take on #2 Alabama. Dr. Rob gives his take on the game that as the potential to be classic. So that's a wrap! Dr. Rob and Travis will be back in February with a recruiting podcast, and in the Spring with a Spring Game podcast. We like to hear your feedback and what you think of this podcast. Leave your comments below. Before we sign off, we want to give a big thank you to our presenting sponsor, The Rimington Trophy. This podcast gets additional support from Huskers Max, The Benson Brewery, and The Chicago Dawg House. Please so them your support throughout the year.

2015 Episode 18: Iowa and Nebraska
Sunday Nov 22, 2015
Sunday Nov 22, 2015
It's the week Dr. Rob Zatechka and Travis Justice have been waiting for. The Hero's Game showdown between Iowa and Nebraska. Never in a million years when the season started back in September did we think that this game would mean so much. Nebraska trying to get bowl eligible and Iowa in the hunt for the National Title.
In this weeks Doc Talk podcast presented by the Rimington Trophy, Dr. Rob tells you why he thinks Nebraska wins. Travis tells you why he thinks Iowa wins. Travis fully understands this is biased audience he's not backing down from his prediction.

2015 Episode 17: Are Bye Weeks Good?
Wednesday Nov 18, 2015
Wednesday Nov 18, 2015
Just because the Huskers aren't playing this week doesn't mean we can't talk about them. Dr. Rob Zatechka has never been a big fan of bye weeks, but has he changed his tune this year? Nebraska has momentum after putting together two straight wins. In this weeks Huskers Doc Talk Podcast presented by The Rimington Trophy we discuss; does taking break put the breaks on the momentum or actually play in favor of the Big Red?Dr. Rob and Travis Justice also discuss some of the off the field distractions that started on Sunday for the Huskers. An alleged rape at the home of Tommy Armstrong and Jordan Westercamp. No suspects are named at this time and Lincoln police say it could be weeks before any charges are filed, if any at all. However, the way the events unfolded and the appearance of lack of communication between the players, coaches, and the University was a little odd.
It wouldn't be a podcast if we didn't mention Bo Pelini! Nebraska fans were excited to see Bo blow up last week at his new job. Dr. Rob tells us what he felt like watching it.
We would love to hear from you! Please feel free to leave your comments below. Also, follow Dr. Rob on Twitter, @DocTalkSports.
We will be back next week! Huge game as the Huskers get ready for the Hawkeyes. That means Rob vs. Travis!
