Make it two wins in a row for Nebraska. The Huskers didn't pull away from Louisiana Tech until last Saturday's fourth quarter, but they did it the old-fashioned way, running the football. 
Nebraska rushed 312 yards against the Bulldogs, marking the third straight game with more than 200 yards on the ground. This is Nebraska's first time with 200 rushing yards in three consecutive games since 2018. 
It was a 1-2 punch for the Huskers as the defense stopped the Bulldogs run game—a reoccurring theme this year for the blackshirts. 
Nebraska held Louisiana Tech to 46 rushing yards and has held each of its four opponents to less than 60 yards. You have to go back to 1999 to find the last time that happened. 
So what does all this mean? Well, for how bad the Big 10 West Division teams are playing, The Huskers might be in the mix at the end of the season. A lot has to happen, but as Lloyd Christmas says, "You are telling me there's a chance!"

The Huskers get their first win of the season. Great news for Matt Rhule and the team that could have beaten Minnesota and, because of turnovers, let Colorado run them out of Folsom Field.
But there was a development after the win. Nebraska did it with a new quarterback. Because of a Jeff Sims injury, Kearney native Heinrich Haarberg started under center. Haarberg led the team in rushing with 98 yards on 21 carries. His passing numbers are also not bad, 14-24 for 158 yards and two touchdowns. So, does this mean the Huskers have a quarterback controversy three games into the season?
