Finally! It's game week. Nebraska kicks off the 2023 season and the Matt Rhule era on Thursday. The game isn't an ordinary start to the season; the game is on a Thursday, a first for the Nebraska football team since 2010. 
Matt Rhule is looking to become the first Husker head coach to win his first game since Bo Pelini in 2008. Rhule is the first Husker coach to begin his career with a road game since Bernie Masterson, whose first game was also at Minnesota on Sept. 28, 1946. Oh, and this is not only the season opener and Conference Divisional game game as well.
